NERUL-NAVIMUMBAI, DECEMBER 22, 2012 : Dominic Savio Kindergarten, Nerul believes in the holistic development of a child. What better way 
than to give them training and opportunities in the field of sports? The Annual Sports Meet for classes Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory was organized on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the school grounds.
The programme started at 4.00 pm with the arrival of the Chief Guest Sister Rose Jose, Principal of Presentation Convent.
After the School Anthem the chief guest declared the meet open. The Sports Torch was carried by Nikhil, Rudra, Tanmay and Amitabh – all athletes from Preparatory classes.
The theme for Drills was SEASONS
SPRING was presented by the children of classes Pre Preparatory C and D and teachers Aarushi and Diana. They performed on a medley of music depicting butterflies, flowers, honey bees, birds, trees and of course a bunch of happy children enjoying nature’s bounty.
Spring was followed by SUMMER. The children of classes Preparatory C and D presented a dance and formations on Summer. They used cool summer hats and ice-creams to portray summer fun. Some cuties were dressed up as fruits and cold drinks while others seemed to enjoy swimming and picnics. Good job teachers Blossom and Neha!!
The children of classes Preparatory A and B presented the arrival of much awaited MONSOONS through a 
formation depicting clouds, raindrops, frogs, peacocks and the happy farmers. Children showed their joy through an umbrella drill on the song ‘Listen to the Sound of Rain’ choreographed by teachers Sweta and Reshma.
The children of classes Pre-Preparatory A and B class presented a dance on WINTER on the songs ‘Dashing through the snow’ and ‘Lakdi ki kathi’.
The Felicitation of Chief Guest, Sister Rose was done with a memento and a bouquet. She delivered a speech followed by a speech by our principal Father Anthony.
The Competitive Events comprised of sprint, soup -bowl race ,ear cap races and butterfly - flower race for Pre Prep classes.
The races of Prep classes were sprint, Goggle and Hat Race, Umbrella Race and Coconut Race.
After the final event for the day, the Chief Guest Distributed Prizes to the winners.
Snacks were distributed to the children. The programme ended with the National Anthem .
