GRAND SILVER JUBILEE FINALE OF DON BOSCO NARUKOT

NARUKOT-AHMEDABAD, DECEMBER 14, 2012: Early Morning on December 08, 2012 when the sun rose, 
flowers began to bloom, birds began to sing, trees began to dance, and Don Bosco Narukot completed its sweet twenty five years of Grace marking it Silver Jubilee Day. It was also the day for celebrating the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.
The solemn Eucharist at 3:00 pm was held on the ground. The main celebrant for the mass was Rev. Bishop Godfrey Rozario (Bishop of Baroda) accompanied by the Provincial Fr. Michael Fernandes (Mumbai Province), Fr. Pravin Makwana (Rector), Fr. Brian Boothello, Fr. Ashwin Macwan and the other concelebrant.
There were many other religious, brothers, nuns and large number of crowd from different villages who participated in this blissful Eucharistic celebration. The Children’s choir was excellent and well trained by the choir masters Fr. Brian and Cl. Ajay. Five of the staff of Don Bosco Narukot who are with the institute for twenty five years were felicitated by Fr. Provincial.
After the solemn mass, the programme commenced welcoming the guest by Rector. The guest of honour for the 
occasion was Mrs. Vina Mody (wife of late Piloo Mody). There was an emotional tribute given to the Late Piloo Mody ( Donor of the forty acres of land) by bringing his Photo frame with March Past. Mrs. Vina mody was 
moved by this gesture of Narukot Don Bosco family.
This was followed by a musical programme in Gujrati “Don Bosco Sathe, Parivartan na Panthey” (With Don Bosco, On the way of Transformation), which was put up by the school students, boarders, the technical boys and also some of the staff.
The history of Narukot and Don Bosco’s dream was shown on the projector 
by Fr. Ashwin as part of the Musical. At the end of the Musical Fr. Ashwin thanked the community, the teachers, choreographers well-wishers and all those who helped in making these twenty five years of Grace programme a successful one.
Fr. Pravin Makwana addressed and congratulated bro. Damodar sdb on completing twenty five years of profession marking his silver jubilee year. Fr. Michel Fernandes, Provincial thanked all those who have toiled and worked hard to bring up this institution especially the pioneers of this place Fr. Nelson, Fr. Byron, Fr. Carlos, Fr. Stanny and Fr. Pravin for continuing the good work of helping the institution to grow.
The happy ending of the silver jubilee concluded with a ‘pet puja’ delicious food served for all. Truly we can say that life is short’ world is small; yet, Don Bosco Narukot is greater than all.
