THE EIGHT DON BOSCO PAST PUPIL INTER SCHOOL CHORAL RECITATION COMPETITION – 2012
Fr. Franco Pereira sdb

NORTHERN ARABIAN VICARIATE DECEMBEER 05, 2012 :  The innocence in their voices and singing like a chorus of angles. The Eight Don Bosco Past Pupils Inter School Choral <![if !vml]><![endif]>recitation Competition was simply magnificent performance from the seven participating schools and they are Indian Educational School (IES), Gulf Indian School (GIS), Indian English Academy School (IEAS), Indian Public School (IPS), Carmel School (CSK), Salmiya Indian Modern School (SIMS), and Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS).
The choral recitation competition of the primary section was another feather in the cap for the Don Bosco Past Pupils. Schools were divided in two groups mainly juniors and Sub-Juniors, i.e. grade One and Two in the sub-juniors category and grade Three and Four in the juniors, total two hundred and eighty three children participated. Watching these children perform with real gusto and vigour, impressive facial expression and apt voices modulation. A truly brilliant performance  with great confidence radiating at each small move and gesture.
The IEAS school was all decked up with models of various chocolates as the school is all set for their annual day the big event is the Musical “Charlie and the chocolate Factory” where the entire school students would be participating. The premises deco added the glitter and finishing touch for the competition.

The competition was judged by competent judges Dr. Cathy Daniels, Dr. Martha Tryzna and Mr. David Wostlehome all experienced in the field of education and art. The critical appreciation by the judges highlighted the success of the event and the performance of the students. This competition shall go along way in improvising upon the feed backs and suggestions from judges, various schools and individuals. The organizers DBPPA would like to thank the IEAS for the use of their premises, Mr. Harold D’souza for sponsoring the snacks for the children and Shalimar stores for sponsoring the gifts for the teachers.

The objective of Don Bosco Past Pupils Kuwait unit is to enliven and gear up each child in a large group and simultaneously gain variety of valuable experience you learn from enthusiasm to defeat, from bitterness to joy and at the same time fill the mind of all who have gathered to watch pictures of imagination. We are sure the audience enjoyed, vivacity of the children performing on the stage along with their costumes and performance in front of a large crowd that packed the school (IEAS) premises.

Though there were only three winners in each group of the competition, the clarity, rhythm, phrasing and gesture of all the children in their recitation was the true accomplishment and all cheers and praises to the teachers and students who have put in efforts and hard work.

Winners in the group category:

Sub- Juniors:               First Carmel School Kuwait /   Second Salmiya Indian Modern School / Third Indian Public School
Presidents Award was presented to Indian Educational School.
