MOMENTS WITH THE KING
Parishioner of Resurrection Church
VIRAR-MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 30, 2012 : There would have been no better approach than to encounter with the King of Kings in 
the tranquillity of the Night.
Soon after the Saturday evening mass, on 24th November, 2012, the Resurrection Parishioners were fortunate to have a Prayer Vigil in preparation to celebrate the Feast of Christ the King.
As soon as the vigil was declared open by the Parish Priest Fr. Lawrence, the congregation moved into the mode of prayer by surrendering themselves in the presence of the Lord, singing the Hymn “All to Jesus I surrender”
The Gospel according to St. Mark (5: 21-43) was chosen to emphasis the theme “New Evangelization”. Fr. Cleo Braganza, helped the faithful to understand the significance of the passage and the message that it emits. Very profoundly Fr. Cleo, highlighted the essence of Faith and its importance in our lives, especially during this Year of Faith. It was made clear to seek New Life one has to walk through the path of reconciliation and repentance. The strength of prayers and the need to pray for others was also shared, requesting each one to intercede for the other.
The second phase led the congregation through the Exodus experience. Meaningfully the slides projected on the screen helped to reflect and accept the Gift of Life, the fact and purpose of being created by our perfect God. The melodious choir (the youth of the parish) helped to fill the atmosphere with beautiful and meaningful hymns of praise and worship.
The concluding part was the adoration/ benediction, leading the people to submit themselves completely in the Glory of the Risen Lord with the help of the Taize chants. This moment was very precious and was filled with contentment, words will never help to explain or understand, it has to be only experienced.
Special thanks to the Parish Priest Fr. Lawrence, Asst. Parish Priest Fr. Osborn and Fr. Cleo Braganza for catering to the spiritual needs of the parishioners and also enlightening them to bear witness to the Risen Lord.
