SALESIAN FAMILY DAY – JANUARY 2013

MATUNGA-MUMBAI, JANUARY 28, 2013: One Hundred and forty eight enthusiastic members of the Salesian Family gathered on Sunday January 13, 2013 at Don Bosco Borivli.
It was a programme that brings together all those who belong to the nine branches that form this vast Family of Don Bosco in the INB Province: SDB, FMA, Past Pupils, Cooperators, VDB, SMI, ADMA, Association of Mamma Margaret, and Disciples.
Provincial, Fr. Michael Fernandes, presided over the Holy Mass concelebrated with other Salesian priests. He later addressed the gathering encouraging them to be more committed and to grow in numbers. He outlined the new foundation at Shelti, for assistance in its development.
Fr. Wilfred, Provincial Delegate introduced each group present noting the progress of the groups. He then explained the Strenna of the Rector Major for this year, with the help of a DVD prepared from Rome. This 
important message is to be studied later in the individual Units at local level.
After some well-prepared cultural items, all got ready for a Housie while the lunch was laid out and those wishing to leave early began helping themselves.
The Salesian Commission comprising all the leaders were responsible for organizing the day with the help of many others. The Community of Don Bosco Borivli deserved a Big word of thanks and appreciation for hosting the event tastefully decorating the hall and attending to all the arrangements.
