SAINT MICHAEL CHURCH SUKET, CELEBRATES THE PARISH FEAST

SUKET-RAJASTHAN, OCTOBER 23, 2012 :  Saint Michael church Suket, celebrated the Church Feast with a lot of joy and enthusiasm. Nine day novena was conducted in the parish during each day of the novena different priests came from different places to animate the Novena ending with last three days retreat, which was conducted in preparation of the feast.

 

The Retreat talks were given by 3 lay people who had come all the way from Vasai, which had a great impact on the all the groups of the parish (students, Youth, and married adults)

 

The parishioners in great numbers actively took part in these spiritual activities, ending with a fruitful penitential service for which three priests had come (Fr. Mukesh, Fr. Vishal and  Fr. Crasto).

 

The Feast day Mass was celebrated by sons of the soils Fr. Cosmos and Fr. Edward Sakrawat SDB. People enjoyed the Chance Games conducted by the enthusiastic youth group in which many young, old, religious (25 sisters) together with Ramganjmandi and Jhalawar parishioners took part. 

 

There was Housie which was organized in co-ordination with the Youth group, there were attractive prices sponsored by Salesian Co-operators and benefactors of Borivali Unit.

 

We thank Fr. William Falcao, the Salesian Co-operators and the benefactors for their generosity. The Feast ended up with a grand lunch contributed by all the parishioners. There was a Joy and bonding experience among the people. The youth enjoyed the last moment of the occasion as they came together and performed an informal dance.

 

The Parish Priest Fr. Stanny Ferreira thanked the 14 committees who had taken great pains to organize the events; all felt that it was a family event which should be organized every year.
