“YEAR OF FAITH” LAUNCH AT BHINGAR CHURCH

BHINGAR-AHMEDNAGAR, OCTOBER 16, 2012 : During both Masses on Sunday, October 14, Marathi in the morning and English in the evening, the ‘Year of faith’ was launched in the St. John the Baptist church, Bhingar.
The morning mass began with the release of the brochure sent by Gaurav Patole USA, through the hands of his Dad & Mum, Mr. Joe & Mrs. Shobha Patole.
During the homily Fr. Nelson Falcao, the Parish priest elaborated on explaining the facts proclaimed in the brochure and the many modalities and ways in which the “Year of Faith” is to be celebrated in the home-as-church and in the church this year.
After Communion, at both masses ‘God’s love- letter’ prepared by Fr Bento in Marathi and English, was meditatively read and prayerfully experienced.
People appreciated the animation done by the Altar Servers group during the morning liturgy. We felt that the definition given by Pope Benedict XVI was observed in practice. “Faith grows when it is received as a gift of life and love and communicated and expressed as a response of grace and joy.”
Truly so, it was a Eucharist to remember and relish…Behold… “A day of faith! Now, it is a time to practice the breaking of bread in our daily lives.
