SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

NERUL-NAVIMUMBAI, DECEMBER 24, 2012 : The Christmas Day Celebrations at Don Bosco 
Senior Secondary School, Nerul on December 21,2012 was filled with music, dance and wisdom. The main theme of the programme was to understand the true meaning of Christmas and spread love, peace and joy.
The programme began at 8:35 am with the school prayer. The anchors-Aakanksha and Rithvik welcomed the guests after which the students presented the Christmas Orchestra. The audience was captivated with the soul rendering Christmas melodies that these young student musicians produced. They were trained by Father Principal.
This was followed by a special Christmas song ‘Christmas must be something more’ sung by the talented singers of Class X. The students of Class VIIA then presented a skit-‘Santa’s Christmas’ with the message that Christmas is not only about decorating trees, receiving gifts and shopping for ourselves. It is spreading the message of Christmas that is love, peace, forgiveness and sharing.
The manager, Fr. Bonnie Borges gave a special Christmas message where he explained the significance of the Christmas decorations with special emphasis on the STAR. He also appealed to the children to be always kind and caring towards others for this is what 
Christmas is all about.
The class teacher of Class VIIA then thanked the parents and teachers for their help and support. This was followed by a speech by the Principal, Fr. Anthony Fonseca who praised the students for the wonderful programme and instructed the students to assemble on the ground. The main highlight of the programme was the visit of the Santa Claus who distributed gifts to the children as they danced and roared with excitement. The children went home delighted to be part of such a wonderful Christmas Celebration at Don Bosco, Nerul.
