REPORT OF THE RETREAT OF JHABUA DIOCESE

JHABUA-GUJARAT, JUNE 17, 2013: "If any one purifies himself from what is ignoble, then he will be a vessel for noble use, consecrated and useful to the master of the house, ready for any good work. So shun youthful passion and aim and righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with those who call upon the Lord from a pure heart". (2Tim 2: 21-22)

 

ICYM Jhabua Diocese organized the two days Youth Retreat for the Deanery level.  Three deaneries of Jhabua diocese participated in this retreat. The duration of the retreat was from May 05 to 11, 2013.

 

We conducted first retreat for the Jhabua Deanery which began on May 05, 2013 and ended on May 07, 2013 at Jhabua parish. The youth from Thandla deanery had their retreat from May 07 to 09, 2013 at Meghnagar parish. The retreat for Ratlam Deanery was conducted from May 09 to 11, 2013 at Ratlam parish. The registration was done deanery wise and it began on May 05, 2013 at 6.00 p.m. with Jhabua Deanery, followed by dinner and instructions. The youth conducted creative Rosary service.

 

The Retreat began on the next day in which one hundred sixty youth participated from Jhabua deanery. There were one hundred and ten. Sixty youth participating in Thandla and Ratlam deaneries' retreat respectively. The retreat for all the three deaneries was conducted by Rev. Fr. Allwyn Misquitta sdb and Mr. Harry. The Youth of Jhabua enjoyed and benefitted spiritually with the help of good devotional music and power point presentations during the retreat.

 

Many youth were taken up by the healing service conducted by Rev. Fr. Allwyn and many offered their various intentions during the adoration service. In spite of there being many weddings around the place and very hot climate, the youth spent two days with the Lord without any complain. It was a good opportunity for the youth to pray for themselves and for those who are in need of prayers.

 

At the end of the retreat we thanked our retreat preachers for enlightening our minds and hearts holistically. It was indeed a fruitful and enriching experience for the youth of our diocese. They felt fulfilled nourished by the Spiritual food received during the retreat. They began the inner spiritual journey with the Lord Jesus. The healing took place in their personal life. Thanks to the DEXCO members who helped our youth in the smooth running of the retreat. Thanks to all the benefactors for their support.
