SAVEDI – AHMEDNAGAR, JULY 9, 2013: Don Bosco School conducted an installation ceremony of the school head boy, head girl, house captains of the four houses together with the class monitors for the academic year 2013-2014 on July 8^th 2013 in the School hall. Mr. Govind, the District Educational officer was the chief guest for the ceremony. The other dignitaries present were Mr. Saayad, the Assistant District Educational officer; Fr. Manuel, the Rector of Don Bosco, Savedi; Fr. Francis, the Principal of Don Bosco Vidyalaya; Fr. Cedrick, the Supervisor of the Don Bosco Vidyalaya; Mrs. Shilpa, the headmistress of the Don Bosco Prathamic Shalla.

The Ceremony began by invoking the presence of God with the lighting of the lamp followed by a scripture reading and a short reflection on the theme 'Let Your Light Shine'. Fr. Manuel in his message said, "Authority is given to the leaders not to boss over others but to serve." The new leaders were then called on stage and presented with the flag, the sash and the badge by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Fr. Manuel then administered the oath of office to the office bearers. A hymn thanking God and and congratulations song was sung for the new leaders wishing them luck for the year to come. Mr. Govind then addressed the gathering highlighting the fact that children are the future of the country. The learners today will be the leaders tomorrow. The ceremony ended with Fr. Anthony, the Principal proposing the vote of thanks and the singing of the national anthem.
